Fitness trackers are menat to help people live a healthier life, but while doing this they also teach you a lot about yourself. After using a fitness tracker for almost one year, I have learned a lot about health that I didn’t expect when I originally made the purchase.
- 2000 Calories a day is unrealistic for some – I had always thought that becuase I am on the shorter side, I probably didn’t need 2000 Calories a day. However, I was surprised to find that the amount of calories I burned in a day fluctuated, but on a normal day where I go to class, work and the gym I burn around 2200 Calories.
- You spend time awake each night – I used to always times my bedtime so that I would get around eight hours of sleep, but because you wake up during the night, even if you dont remember, what was supposed to be eight hours can easily become six and a half or seven.
